Presentation of file n ° 1

The theme of this first file is directly linked to the "spirit" of this e-review, namely, to perceive the player as a human in its entirety and less as a machine where biomechanics takes an important place. This review wishes to distance itself from a conception where one "formats" the players so that they become champions. The theme of this first dossier is therefore the following: "the place given to the player during the teaching of table tennis". To date, this e-review will be composed of different sections: - conception of teaching table tennis: in this part of the review, you will find articles highlighting conceptions of teaching table tennis, these being in connection with "the player" where the place of "the human" is very present. - "we are talking about it ?" : a zoom will be focused on the question of feelings within the training sessions - professional problem: the question will focus on the theme of the "motivation" of players in training; this section will provide answers to the following question => how to maintain the motivation of players in training? - presentation of a sports project: this is to present an innovative sports project that you have set up and show how it has contributed to the development of players on their training course - free talk: it will be a question to bring out a touching situation that was experienced during the coaching profession

Part # 1: What Approach to Teaching Table Tennis?

In this section, texts are expected which highlight how your conception and your approach to teaching table tennis take into account the player as a whole and in a unique way. There is here a desire to share the thoughts of coaches who are particularly sensitive to going beyond "sports training" and adapting their teaching according to the players for whom they are responsible. Here are some questions that can be a point of support for your reflection: - what is my priority when I start to take care of a player: learn the technique / transmit the culture of table tennis / ensure the pleasure that the player takes every time it comes to training / systematically giving meaning to training sessions ...? - to what extent do I take into account the feelings of the players / their fatigue / their desires / their personal functioning when I train? - what place do you give to communication with the players: is it "downward" where the coach knows what is good for the player and the latter applies the advice given by the coach? Or it is more "horizontal" where this time, the coach is more attentive to what the players may feel / think, which means that the content of the training is the result of an exchange between player and coach?

Part n ° 2: "Shall we talk about it?" : zoom on the "feelings" of the players

In this section, it is a question of wondering about the question of feelings and to what extent they are important for you. To help you in your reflection, here are some questions from which you can build your text proposal: - what place do you give to the feelings of the players when you train a player? - if you give them a place, how do you use them to train? - in what way for you, relying on the feelings of the players can be interesting to make them evolve?

Part # 3: The Professional Problem

In this section, the problem of player motivation in training will be covered. The question that will guide you in your proposal is the following: how to maintain the motivation of players in training? To help you further in your thinking, you can rely on the following questions: - Is player motivation important to you and do you consider it a lever for learning? - how to analyze the characteristics of the players in order to offer them training sessions that are a source of motivation for them? - what educational tools do you use, do you put in place to maintain the motivation of the players? - what place do you give to exchange, to communication with the players to maintain their motivation? - how do you manage to manage the drop in motivation of your players?

Part n ° 4: Presentation of a sports project

In this section, the sharing of innovative sports projects that you have already set up within your structure for your players are expected. There is a desire here to offer readers "turnkey" projects that they can reuse within the framework of their practice in order to enrich it with new ideas. An explicit link with the impact on players' needs is expected during the presentation of the project. To help you organize the writing of your proposal, here is a possible framework: 1- presentation of the needs that you have identified of your players 2- presentation of your professional approach to arrive at the idea of your project idea: needs = > professional approach or reflections which led to => project idea 3- presentation of the project: detailed description of your project possible photos 4- presentation of the results of the project: it is a question of specifying here what the in place of this project allowed the players, what were the learning which resulted from this project, what is the strength of the impact of this project on the players? NOTE: this approach remains a proposal; you can choose to present your project via another approach. However, it seems to me important that the four points presented in bold above can appear within your proposal.

Part n ° 5: Free talk

In this section, you can share a highlight that you experienced as a coach during the exercise of your profession. Sharing this experience can very well come from the context of training or competition. For example, a player who has put in a lot of time and has provided a lot of effort to finally achieve a cut serve and this one is very proud of himself. Or again, unexpected results in a federal criterium round, access for the first time to a national level competition, a qualification for an international competition, a rise of his team in the team championship then offering victory and the accessing a higher level or maintaining the current level. Whatever your level of intervention, you can tell us about one or the moment that gave you a lot of joy in your coaching profession.
